Among the many different religions existing today, there is one common denominator: Each requires a place where members may gather in and worship their God. For most, the church is defined as the house of God here on earth. Being so, it is but expedient that whosoever goes into the house of the Lord will find the peace and comfort he/she is looking for.

Because humanity has developed and realized the need for a higher being, going to places of worship frequently has been included in the culture. For more popular religions however, going to the church along with hundreds of other members may cause discomfort and annoyance due to lack of adequate space or poor facilities. This in return can cause the members of the group ad even the church leaders themselves become less reverend and attention is divided. Let us therefore remember the importance of comfort during the sermon for a more holy and successful meeting.

Even though some churches take pride in the rich history of their facilities and structure being older than we are today, we must consider that tangible materials also have a durability limit and we must not forget that centuries old chairs are can’t really be that safe to sit on anymore.

Because of this, unwanted accidents may take place and at times sermon may be interrupted by restless members sitting on creaking chairs. Also, wooden chairs designed a long time ago do not provide the comfort we are used to provided the progressing engineering and architectural works of furniture design today. We must remember that the more avid church goers are the older population and we do not want to cause further pain or damage to their bones and joints because of a stiff, wooden chair.

Fortunately, there is now offered a new set of church chairs that will definitely provide the perfect comfort to all church members. These church chairs and banquet chairs are very durable and of course, it provides the perfect comfort you need when you have to sit for an hour or so during the sermon.

It has a design for sanctuary seating, very good to look at and aside from the comfort and durability, it also is not made of wood but rather with more high quality materials.

It is cushioned for comfort, it has maintenance free seat fastening system and a very durable frame. The church chairs and banquet chairs also have a variety of fabric to choose from that will suit your taste whether you are going for contemporary or old school.

This church chairs and banquet chairs needless to say will greatly add aesthetic value to your church and will invite more members to come and stay every time there is a sermon or an important meeting. These church chairs and banquet chairs will surely give the feeling that the church is indeed a little patch of heaven here on earth.

Churches today are turning to using stackable church chairs and banquet chairs instead of pews for flexibility reasons with services and events in mind. See the latest trends in church seating today at chairtex.com.

Traditionally, churches have used lighting designs that have scrollers with separate colors, which are attached to each other to create white light. These can also be adjusted to produce different colors, other than white. This type of lighting fixture does have many disadvantages. One of these disadvantages is the fact that they offer limited choices regarding colors. Another one is that these fixtures are very expensive to operate. Because of the many different disadvantages the lighting system had, many churches opted to switch to a much more updated form of lighting fixture. With the availability of new technology, they were able to implement a much more advanced form of lighting.

New Fixtures

Many churches today use lighting fixtures that produce very bright and intense lighting. This new lighting system is generally automated to be able to change colors at will. They have one function, and they accomplish their task rather well. They are designed to produce light, and change color, if needed, using a remote control.

Light Quality

The new lighting fixtures most churches use today have a far better light production capability than the old system they once used. Unlike the old system, the new lighting fixtures produce a high quality light, which will not have any contamination on the sides of other colors. The old lighting fixtures did not do this very well. In most cases, the edges of the light beam will have traces of different colors.

Cost

The cost of these systems is not small, however. The price for this type of fixture will cost about $1,500. The power supply will add an additional $1,200 to the overall price.

Lighting Fixtures [http://www.e-LightingFixtures.com] provides detailed information on Lighting Fixtures, Bathroom Lighting Fixtures, Ceiling Lighting Fixtures, Outdoor Lighting Fixtures and more. Lighting Fixtures is affiliated with Outdoor Lighting.

Winter is fast approaching us, and this means many things for the religious facilities around the country. Preparing for the holiday’s that are rapidly approaching, helping families in need, and though it may not be as popular as the previous two issues, perhaps the change in the weather will direct attention to some of those stained glass church windows.

As the sun changes position in the sky this time of year, and the morning’s tend to be dimmer while we are in worship service, the not so bright paint on the glass, or the missing lead came may be a bit more obvious in the glow of the interior lights.

So then comes the question, what issues are causing the problems, and what can we do to fix them? Also, it is important to consider what measures can be taken to protect these precious treasures from these issues arising again in the future?

It is said that the oldest stained glass church window in existence today can be found in the Augsburg Cathedral in Germany, and dates to the 1100’s. That being said, it is to be assumed that with proper care and preservation, the windows that your facility has come to cherish can last for generations to come.

The most common issue for stained glass church windows is bulging. Bulging is experienced in old stained glass windows when buildings settle, and when the lead fatigues. Lead in itself is a very weak material, and over time, if the deflection continues, the stress on the glass will cause cracks, and eventually make the windows irreparable.

Expansion and contraction are responsible for bulging as well. Difference in temperature can be extreme inside improperly ventilated stained glass windows. Since stained glass is very efficient in absorbing the suns energy, solar gain occurs, and accelerates deterioration. In the most extreme cases, the bulging can become so severe that the stained glass panels may actually pop out of their frames. Other common problems are seeing daylight through the windows, and the elements, i.e. rain and snow, seeping in through gaps left by sagging or bulging panels.

How these issues are repaired can vary greatly from removal of the entire window to be rebuilt from the frame up to onsite spot repair and reinforcement. The windows should always be carefully studied and a spelled out step by step plan developed to address the cause of the problem and to repair the window. Sometimes the cause is as simple as improper protection of the window to structural failure.

At the first sign of disrepair, a professional firm should be consulted, if at all possible to discuss the various repair options, or, to discuss replacement. Stained glass windows are a beautiful tribute to the artisans that helped to lay the foundation for many of the most beautiful structures in our nation, and they deserve to be preserved to the best of our ability.

Admit it—the first thing that comes to mind when you think of stained glass windows is Church. Many of us even have memories of specific stained glass windows locked inside our minds. For some reason or other, the pattern and the colors somehow impressed you and can remember them to this day. Even if you cannot recall a specific window, the fact remains that many of us do not even consider stained glass windows as a decorative option in our homes because we believe they are limited to Church use.

Of course, there is a good reason why only Churches were associated with stained glass windows for centuries—because they were the only ones that could afford them! Master artisans such as Louis Tiffany was commissioned by Churches and the ultra-elite to craft one-of-a-kind stained glass windows. Projects could take months, even years. The sheer labor involved in making authentic stained glass windows made them impossible to afford where the rest of us were concerned.

However, a growing number of designers, contractors, and homeowners are enjoying the beauty and quality of stained glass windows in regular homes—you know, not the mansions we see on television! Nothing adds character and elegance to a home like a stained-glass window and the lighting is both natural yet softly diffused so that rooms are basked in a soothing glow.

Advances in the manufacturing process have enabled some of the elite stained-glass window companies to both retain quality while reducing production time and expense. Every stained-glass window is made up of specially-made colored art glass. Each piece of glass is unique and so therefore is every stained-glass window. Both Meyda Tiffany and Dale Tiffany produce high-quality unique stained-glass windows using time-honored techniques (with some modification) and the same quality glass as those designed and produced by Dale Tiffany himself—at prices that many would find surprisingly affordable.

Of course, you probably would not want your home completely decorated with stained-glass windows which is why it is so important to carefully choose where you want to install them. Because they are such natural focal points for attention, many choose to install them in the areas of the home where people gather most: the kitchen or the living room.

The color pattern you choose should coordinate with the basic color scheme of your room. You may even want to redesign your décor based upon the pattern and coloring of the stained-glass window for a completely unified and stunning decorative effect. Of course, this may be a bit excessive but do be sure that the basic color scheme is in line with the colored glass. When you are done redecorating the space to coordinate with your new stained-glass window, you cannot help but become the envy of friends and family alike. See, not just for Church anymore—but just like the stained-glass windows in Church, people will not be able to take their eyes off your beautiful window!

Her store offers product and information about Stained Glass Panels and beautiful Tiffany Lamps as well as Chandeliers and Fireplace Screens that add beauty and richness to your home.

If you want to find companies that make window tint for churches then you need to consider two options. You can choose to find them online i.e. through online sources, which I discuss briefly below and you can also choose to use offline sources. Let me quickly walk you through some of the most effective ways to find these window tint companies.

You Can Use Offline Sources

• Check through local listings in the yellow pages. Just look for companies that do window tints in general. They should be able to help with the church windows as well.

• Referrals – The fact that you are interested in this project means you must know some other churches that have window tints. I suggest you call them up to find out about their contractor. Alternatively you can ask your neighbours who have had their windows replaces, reglazed, repaired or tinted to recommend a contractor.

Online Sources

I strongly believe that online sources are the best way to find companies that make window tint for churches. Online search is fast, broad yet effective. Here are some of my best recommended options to search online.

• Search engines: use search engines like Google, MSN or Yahoo to find the company. To make your search more effective try to use commands like, “window tint company”+church. Note, Google now offers localised results when you include your zip code or city in the search query.

• Online directories: you can also find some electronic local yellow pages to speed up your search.

• Pre-screening service: This is a new concept that has proved to more useful for searchers. This service collects a list of relevant companies and pre-screen them based on important industry factors. So when you search through their database you get a list of companies that are fully qualified to offer what you are looking for.

Click here > window companies to access a free pre-screening service right away.

You can also visit the window replacement website for some more tips and recommendations about windows.

The quality of church sound systems should not be taken lightly by anyone…the ministry staff, the sound technicians, or the congregation. Church is a place to hear God’s word, talk with friends, and to just relax from all the stresses of the outside world. The sound system is one touch point that overlaps all of the groups mentioned above. Either directly or indirectly, sound systems impact every aspect of a ministry.

While the congregation can sit back and enjoy the benefits of a well designed audio-visual system as it makes the music ministry performances and worship messages come alive, there is one group that doesn’t get the chance to relax…and it’s not the pastoral staff. It’s the people sitting in the back of the sanctuary in a little cubicle packed full of dials, knobs, meters, cords, computer screens, and the pressure of making the music and sermon sound “just right.” The quality of the sound depends solely on the staff manning the sound booth. It makes no difference if a church has a multi-million dollar system, or just some guitars plugged into a $120 amp. An inexperienced sound guy can make Third Day sound like a high school garage band.

While people in the congregation look at and hear the musicians, the musicians look to and depend on the sound technicians. The “sound guy” is definitely the unsung hero of any well put together church service. Nobody sees the person the back tweaking and twisting little knobs but everyone, without question, is directly affected by that person’s performance. Any musician will tell you the importance of having both an expert sound technician, and a top notch sound system.

So, how does a church come to have a well-run sound system? More often than not the sound is run by someone who has offered his or her time to learn and run the system. Looking at a sound board and the sea of complex instrumentation will make anyone understand that to run a sound system well would take a lot more than learning through on the job training. Professional training is paramount if a church desires a confident and expert sound technician. Training a volunteer is also something to be considered. Sound systems are sophisticated, and explaining it in everyday terms is a difficult task. Seriously consider the aid of outside professionals who can not only provide you with the best equipment, but that can install it properly, and that can also train your sound technicians.

While the expert sound guy makes a difference, so does the quality of the churches sound system, the quality of the installation, and the training of the technicians! Do it right and your service will be memorable and moving…do it wrong and your service will be, inaudible, brash and distracting.

Depending on how big your budget is, you can opt to buy new or used church furniture. But if you don’t have a budget that big, I suggest you go for the latter.

But since these kinds of furnishings aren’t exactly the type that you’ll find in your local garage or yard sale, where do you begin your search? I suggest you look for a church that is closing down. But of course, the kind of furnishings you would choose should be suited to the type of church you are planning. Are you going for a more traditional looking church? Or perhaps you want it to look more modern. Those are the things to consider. So let’s say you’ve got your design planned out, now you need to find a parish that’s closing down, ask them if they are willing to sell some of their furnishings. Thing is, most of the time, these furnishings would look worn. But refurbishing them would definitely cost less than if you buy new ones.

Another option you could try is the ever dependable internet. Just type in what you’re looking for and you’re bound to find something. Some websites even offer complete furnishings. From pews, to book racks, to pulpits, flower racks and even confessionals! But the most important thing you should really focus on, first and foremost, are the chairs. Think back to your design. Do you have big enough space to feet long pews or is your space more suited to the shorter ones?

Think about that as well as the comfort of the people who would be sitting on it. A bench without a back rest would prove to be uncomfortable for people so that is not very advisable.

If you already got some furnishings but the colors and style don’t match your design, there’s still hope. There are many companies out there who specialize in the customization of used church furniture. They can make changes in the fabric used, the dimensions of the chair, the altars, pews, the pulpits as well as the other furnishings. These customizations don’t cost much and they often offer discounts. They can also ship out your orders with minimal shipping charges. But still, more affordable compared to getting new furnishings. Remember the keywords, comfort, design and dimensions. You wouldn’t want to put people in uncomfortable chairs that don’t match the theme of the church and are either too big or too little. In a place of worship like the church, people should be comfortable.

You should also remember that “used” shouldn’t necessarily mean ugly. There are many ways to beautify old furnishings some of which you can do yourself or with the help of some people. With just a bit of creativity, imagination and a bit of carpentry know how, you wouldn’t need refurbishing companies to help you out just gather a few people from the same church and work on it as a team. Not only will it save you money, it’ll also be a great community project.

A church interior can make a big difference in the quality of the religious service being held. If the interior design does not promote a prayerful atmosphere, naturally, it can affect the attitude of the churchgoers. No matter how good the minister is in facilitating the service, an uncooperative environment can still be a huge negative factor.

Therefore, due attention should be given to the preparation of the church’s interior. This will definitely include the most important fixture the churchgoers will be using, the church chairs. Coming in and anticipating the worship service, they may not notice it at first. However, after an hour of sitting, they will surely have some words to say about it.

To make sure that they will only have praise for the church chairs, it is recommended that they should pass a set of standards. The first and, perhaps, the most important is comfort. These should have the padding and the frame that will provide the churchgoer with ergonomic comfort while sitting all throughout the church service.

The next thing that should be considered is the durability of the chairs. These may not be used very often during weekdays but it will certainly be busy on the days in which services are held most, such as Sunday. The chairs need to be durable enough to last long despite heavy use.

The size of the church chairs matters a lot, especially if the church is fortunate enough to have large numbers of active members. When the chairs are too big, it will certainly take up a lot of room but it can accommodate only a fewer number of people also. Therefore, in buying these, the number of churchgoers and the size of the church interior should be considered first.

However, these are not used all the time. Sometimes they may have to be set aside too in order to have the church floor used for another affair. In this regard, church chairs that also have the functionality of being stacking chairs have a huge advantage.

Despite its being easy to stack neatly and stored, these stacking chairs still have the elegant appearance of the church padded chairs. The only difference is that these have designs that take into consideration their capability to be stored without taking so much space in the storeroom.

These factors must be considered when looking for the ideal church chairs. Along with these criteria, the cost of the chairs may also be just as important. The price must correspond with the quality of the items. If not, then it may not be a good choice at all.

When you think of church interior design, in most cases you will be thinking of a Christian church. As with all things there are certain elements of the design that need to be captured in order to maintain the continuity between the churches.

Keys To Church Design

However one of the key elements to church interior design is that of stained glass. In medieval times this was considered to be very valuable and many times was a reason for a church to be ransacked. Today it is still a very strong element in the church and is still very expensive, but has not led to many robberies or pillaging as it did at hat time.

Another element that is essential in any Christian church are the Stations of the Cross. This is artwork that is displayed on the walls in a variety of forms that is there to tell the story of how Jesus went through the carrying of and dying on the cross. This is an integral part of any Christian church interior design as it is a large part for the basis of the religion. This artwork can be either extravagant or simple in design as long as it is present and performs the necessary function that it is designed to do and that is to tell a story.

In all, there a total of 14 Stations of the Cross that will be in the church. Each one will have its own title and will somehow portray that title in their imaging. Their will be various types of artwork that can be used, from plaques and tapestries to even simply incorporating it into the stained glass windows that are already there.

The Bread and the Wine

The primary centerpiece of church interior design is the altar. Usually this is constructed of marble and in some cases wood; this is the table so to speak of church interior design. This is where all of the action takes place for the consecration of the Eucharist. The bread and the wine are placed here to be blessed and displayed. It is here that the church will perform its rites. These tables can be simple or elaborate depending on how the church is designed. It is completely up to the church as to how it will be designed and portrayed.

The last primary piece of church interior design is the pew. This is usually a wooden bench for seating which will have a padded kneeler in front of it. It is commonly made of wood and is simple in design.
